One Of President Roosevelt's Personal Cigarette Holders
During WWII smoking and drinking were President Roosevelt's only relief from the daily pressures of the Presidency. He was a two-pack a day cigarette smoker and generally used a cigarette holder. This cigarette holder was owned and used personally by FDR and is believed to be the one he is holding in the photograph above. The holder and the cushioned leather case it was kept in are both quite worn and show heavy use.
