Svetlana "Orders" Her Father Stalin To Stop Shooting Guns In 1934
Another "Official Order" from Svetlana to her father, Joseph Stalin, signed "Svetanka." This one is headed "Order#21" in large letters. She writes, "Order you to stop shooting. All 440 guns and revolvers with ammo should be moved to warehouse." Beneath it, Stalin has signed his name in black pencil. Since Svetlana, like most children of high-ranking Soviet officials, was raised by a nurse and only occasionally saw her parents, its unlikely that the dictator kept weapons around his children. She may have used her imagination based on conversations she heard at home. This document is dated 1934.
