GeneralMacArthur's Philippine Campaign Strategy Book
This extremely rare book was printed in Manila and presented as a gift by General MacArthur to the immediate members of his staff to thank them for their role in the defense of the Philippines. The book lists the command staffs and maps for all of the major campaigns between October 1944 and July 1945. It also lists battle plans that were prepared but not executed during the Philippines Campaign. The number of printed copies of the book is not know. James Zobel, Chief Archivist at the MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk, Virginia has written to say that he has never seen nor heard of this book. Apparently it was printed in a very limited edition. Only a few of the entries in the book are listed here.
